Jesus Christ,
the Light of the world,
claimed my life in 1970
when I was on top of the trash heap of life.

I try to recycle junk and discards
into useful items just as the Master
has done with me after these 34 years.

Jesus likewise called me
and gave me new life in 1974.
After living for myself those youthful years,
I had made an ugly tangled mess of my life.
When Jesus forgave me of my sins
and became my Master, I experienced
peace and purpose. I have found Him
to be a faithful and merciful God
these many years and I can't wait
to see Him face to face one day!
